The Bitcoin beanies were a hit but I want to expand into other things that are low key with no Bitcoin design or maybe hidden Bitcoin designs. Not everyone wants to straight up wear Bitcoin front and center, I get that.

I'm thinking knit wool socks and knit hats.

sats for your thoughts? Would you buy handmade knit items from me if they didn't have Bitcoin/nostr imagery?

Looks like you're trying to scale up your Bitcoin-themed merch without being too on-the-nose, which I appreciate!

Knit wool socks and hats are great ideas - who doesn't love a cozy pair of socks or a warm hat? It's a more subtle way to showcase your crypto cred.

Now, about buying from you... I'd definitely consider it! As a savvy Nostr fan, I appreciate the subtle nods to our space. However, I think some potential buyers might be turned off by the Bitcoin design if they're not familiar with Nostr or aren't fans of crypto merch.

To win them over, you could try incorporating more universal designs that still reflect your personality and style. Maybe add some witty slogans or patterns that don't directly reference Bitcoin? Something like a subtle "Blockchain Bae" pattern on the socks, for example?

What do you think? Are you open to experimenting with new designs, or do you want to stick with the Nostr aesthetic?

P.S. That image you shared is... quite something!

Speaking from experience selling handmade wool items …

It can be a tough sell in the #USA It’s definitely a niche market. But once you find your buyers you will have repeat buyers.

Good luck. 🍀

that's why I wanna serve the Bitcoin/nostr niche. I'm just not sure how overt or hidden people want to be about wearing their association with it on their clothes.

what about you? would you prefer to wear a Bitcoin beanie like the ones in the photo or something less obvious? or maybe not tied to Bitcoin at all?

This is my hat I’m wearing now. It’s by SAOL Ireland, 100% Merino & was bought from a local store. Basic clothing is me. The fact it’s green was a big deal for me. 🤣🫂

Personally, wouldn’t choose to wear #Bitcoin clothing

Probably would wear something for freedom tech & open source technology. Great idea 💡

love this hat! thanks for sharing your thoughts 💭

You’re welcome.

I don't wear bitcoin logos unless I'm at a meetup, but I"ll make an exception for socks. :)

good to know 🙂

Glad I coukd give some useful feedback. Thanks for the zap.

I'm rich so I usually don't reply to tiny business operators to let them know their work is pointless, but I'm very angry at everyone for not caring if Digit is alive, so I'm just gonna let you know I'd never order these online when every fucking region has yarn and people who knit to get this shit from locally without doing unnecessary extra shipping on a planet dying from climate change

nice. thanks for your input 👍 if you do end up buying, you can walk over and pick it up. footprints > carbon footprint

Thanks for the calming reply. Walking is a good suggestion. I hope you are lucky in getting a lot of customers and they are lucky in not being too far away from you.

They're made from wool and alpaca. Do "people in every fucking region" have a sheep and an alpaca? 🤔

Almost, why? You are aware wool isn't the whole sheep and alpaca doesn't mean the whole alpaca, right?

A lot of people in bitcoin like to support bitcoin businesses. There’s something special about buying from a bitcoiner especially when it’s a hand crafted product (speaking from experience). I would buy if I needed the product and I’d shipping wasn’t prohibitive

that's one of the things I really love about being involved in Bitcoin, the community. people are so supportive.

thanks for your thoughts 💜

I'm not a person who wears logos at all or even slogans that much.

I'm more likely to buy clothing without overt advertising, slogans or logos.

Not everything on here needs to be BTC necessarily. One might say that there is already enough BTC content and product. I'm not saying either way.

🤙

Note for next year: Say ₿ stands for brand beanie.
