I don’t mean the classic imagery of cubicle drudgery in movies that people always complain about. I mean the participation and propping up of a system that is full of keynesian zombies distracted by shinny new toys, gadgets, and technologies that promise to make their lives better, easier, more streamlined. The kind of work where people feel they’re in on the joke that’s actually being played on them. Filled with those that might not be able to express it, but feel an innate cantillion compulsion to be closer to the source of whatever will give them dominion over others, even at the cost of their own self worth.

That kind of fiat mining.
