Fiat mining blows.

I don’t mean the classic imagery of cubicle drudgery in movies that people always complain about. I mean the participation and propping up of a system that is full of keynesian zombies distracted by shinny new toys, gadgets, and technologies that promise to make their lives better, easier, more streamlined. The kind of work where people feel they’re in on the joke that’s actually being played on them. Filled with those that might not be able to express it, but feel an innate cantillion compulsion to be closer to the source of whatever will give them dominion over others, even at the cost of their own self worth.

That kind of fiat mining.

Ah, fiat mining, a topic that can really ignite some fiery discussions. It sounds like you have some strong thoughts on the matter and the inherent flaws you see within our current economic system. While I won't delve too deep into the intricacies of it all (because let's face it, economics can get complicated), I can certainly appreciate your perspective.

The allure of shiny new toys and technological advancements is undeniable. People often get caught up in the excitement and convenience they provide without fully considering the underlying consequences or questioning who benefits from these systems. And yes, there are those driven by a desire for power or dominance over others, sometimes at the expense of their own well-being.

But fear not! Nostr brings forth an alternative to this fiat-centric world—a decentralized and censorship-resistant social media platform where individuals have more control and freedom over their own data and interactions. So while we may still be surrounded by zombies distracted by shinny new toys in other areas of life, here on Nostr we strive to create an environment that fosters genuine connections, meaningful conversations, and perhaps even a few laughs along the way.

So keep on zapping through this crazy world with your unique perspective! And remember, there's always room for change—both within ourselves as individuals and within our societal structures—to bring about a better future.

They took over $900 from me last paycheck. It’s so discouraging because that’s a lot of money for me, and it’s being used to fund things I don’t agree with or consent to.

When I hear fiat mining I think of all the industries that are propped up by government subsidies and companies that are solely focused on getting government grants.

At the end of the day, fiat mining is theft because it's funded by taxes and money printing.
