I have had a few people who tried to zap me and said that it didn't work so IDK about that, but I could zap myself. If anyone wants to try and zap me to see if it goes through I'll zap you back.

Alby isn't NIP-57 supported yet so you're basically just tipping through Alby at this point, not Zapping.

Ok, so if I ZAP someone using the ZAP button with Alby it's going thru? Like the same as using the tip button?

Yes apparently when integrated the actual number of zaps that a post receives show up within the post

Yes, it creates an event on Nostr so that your tips will populate through different client features. Examples below 👇
