$7 is fucking brutal

Excellent price for duck eggs imo. We used to sell them at farmer’s markets $6.50/six-pack and couldn’t keep them in stock.

That's great! I'm sure you could hit $7.50 each.

I'm happy for you

I actually think we may have raised the price towards the end- people absolutely loved them! Personally I think duck eggs are massively superior to chicken eggs in both taste and nutritional value!

Hmm… why haven’t I ever tried them before. Will check them out next time I buy eggs.

We have a massive surplus this time a year if you fancy a road trip up north? 😉

I don’t know how up north you are, I’m traveling to NJ soon.

Waaaay north! 😆 NJ is like basically the confederacy, we still got last bits of snow on the ground lol

Maine is the deep south

Touché. Perspective sir 😆

I’m in Ohio. Between Cleveland and Toledo. 20-30 min. south of Lake Erie.

It seems like people with chickens get $3.00/dozen, and everybody we talk to is grossed out by the possibility of eating another type of egg.

It’s funny it seems like people love them or hate them there’s no in between!

I'm Australian so it's too far anyway but may I suggest not washing the eggs.

Washing eggs removes the protective bloom layer which reduces shelf life and dramatically increases the danger of food poisoning (the bloom layer is what stops bacteria getting into the eggs)

Instead of washing the eggs just wipe them clean to remove any poo or feathers that gets stuck to them.

Just wipe them down with a dry wash cloth or paper towels.

That applies for chicken eggs, not duck or goose. Duck eggs are generally collected much dirtier than chicken eggs and do not have the same porous shell as chicken eggs. Therefore it’s a good idea to clean them for longer term storage.
