BUT the main concern for now isn't some niche account being banned in turkey, but it's the power that bluesky have.
that's why there are big wants from users (at least more technical ones) wanting other companies/people to host more AppViews.
AppViews are what Relays feed. Relays search across all the PDSs (where the user's content is -- easy to self host too) and then processes it to be easier to read for apps.
for now, bluesky is only applying those labels to those accounts from the regional labellers, but what if in future turkey's gov finds out people are circumventing that? then they might want to dig further down and request bluesky remove them from the *AppView layer* - this would affect most apps that are just connecting to Bluesky's official AppView.
so yeah, pretty small thing for now, but it's the first main showcase of censoring on bsky imo, and i think it's important that we see these issues now, so more 3rd party Relays and AppViews can be setup in case Bluesky as a company goes bad in the future.
