Animals are friends, not food.
Yeah. Unfortunately things are the way they are.
We aren't actually made to eat meat or grains.
Our teeth and our digestive system are evolved for vegetables, leafy greens, tubers, fruits and nuts.
The only animal products we are actually "meant" to eat is eggs and insects.
That's why meat has to be cooked. It's not only the pathogens and parasites but our bodies have a very difficult time digesting raw meat.
You gotta have an adapted microbiome for that, you gotta eat fermented meat before you can digest raw meat properly.
But humans are extremely adaptable, climate and genetics play a huge part in what you "should" eat.
People in the artic have adapted to eat diets high in meat.
African pastoralist tribes adapted to drink milk and blood from their cattle because it was either that or adapting to eat the grass.
Same with Mongolians and some native Americans.
Most of us would obviously be better off eating less meat, but cuts of meat are better than any ultra processed foods.

Yes humans are not anatomically designed to consume meat/animal proteins (including insects), and suffer to varying degrees chronic disease invariably connected with animal-based diets.
