Now that seed oil disrespect is going mainstream, the 115IQ Reddit crowd is here to reflexively reject it as an incorrect fad by repeating the mantras of “healthy fats” and “all the studies”.

Interesting that this is a baked in aspect of Reddit. The system rewards smart sounding takes by throwing consensus weight behind them. People get to upvote the contrarian take and feel like they’re smart by extension.

This is extremely useful for identifying what type of bug is eating your rose bushes and not so much for issues where someone can make a lot of money on the wrong answer being accepted as fact

It was also heavily infiltrated by the intelligence state from the get go. Ghislaine Maxwell was the account with the most (or near most) karma IIRC. Going back to the early days of Reddit.

Fascinating how the design traps and tricks the 1 sigma crowd.
