Fan of JBL for sound. Typically tight and rich. My daughter has the really little one of these and to be the size of a bar of soap it sounds great. I bet this sounds much better.

That said, it would be very difficult for me to buy anything like this without hearing it first.

But the way... professional audio engineer for decades.

I had the flip 2 for awhile and bought the flip 5. Been very happy with them.

If battery chargers are normally $100 bucks then the price is right, but I like the flip 5 for its waterproofness so I wouldn’t want to be charging my phone around water.

I loved JBL. My first stereo used a JBL theater speaker. About ten years ago I bought one of their bkuetooth speakers because I liked the bass response for such a small device.

It sucked. When running off of batteries it wouldn't do full volume, taking away the portability, and had a built-in sleep mode, or some similar annoyance that caused me to throw it in the trash.

Currently, I have a waterproof $40 Costco "Eco Gear" that was purchased new in 2017 that's been great in every aspect, other than the bluetooth range (which is about 15').

I have the flip 6. Bought it on a whim when I was going to the beach one day in Hawaii. I still use it every day. Love it.
