I don’t follow, why is this strange?
It’s called the progressive bitcoiner because there’s a lot of FUD from progressives/the left in the US around bitcoin and the channel/podcast can hopefully speak to them in a way they can understand and because many still think progressive and bitcoin doesn’t go hand in hand. And bc I’m a progressive too! So a bunch of reasons

Our hope is to talk about the positive impacts of bitcoin in a way a left leaning audience who has been lied to can understand, bringing more folks into bitcoin.
And yeah I wrote the nostr article in part bc I don’t want the left thinking freedom tech is right wing or something bc that’s absurd and mainstream democrats and MSM are ridiculous on things like this.

I don’t think the point of the progressivebitcoiner is to politicize Bitcoin (I was there in the early conversations about branding). There was an awareness that many of the popular arguments for Bitcoin just didn’t resonate with lefties but a growing number of us who saw the benefits and wanted to speak to that group in terms they will understand. You can’t change Bitcoin, but you can change who gets bitcoin. Inchhigh.
To me, this person is a typical shapeshifter. It is people like him who will fill Nostr with algorithms, shadow bans, massive blocklists, and proprietary relays. It will be interesting to see how these servants of corporations and oligarchy, covered by the skin of progressivism. will support government measures to control Nostr.

Bridging nostr to the outside world is important and I’ll keep doing that. But keep trolling and doing nothing.
That's great and you've made valid points. We all hope Nostr succeeds and wish it the best. But you purposely ignored the beginning of my note, and it just confirms what I said.
