Why that model in particular?
Fair enough.
I'm always interested in the myriad of reasons people choose a carry.
(While avoiding the subjective preference arguing)

I settled on the Springfield due to its balance between compact & still some weight to it.
I also like the grip safety.
It shoots super smooth & haven't had anything I don't like about it pop up.
My next upgrades are night sights, the extended mags & grip texture π.
What do you carry?
Night sights and extended mags sound like good upgrades..
I carry an hk vp9.
My favorite factory trigger I've ever used (for a striker)and the interchangeable back strap/palm swell panels allow it to fit my hands properly.
Nice. They also have some 1911s that look amazing.

How did you arrive at this being desirable? (Genuinely curious.)
Watch a YouTube video of people shooting it, but overall it's the best carry pistol on the market.

Love the safety on it.
The trigger reviews are ridiculous, and for a big hand that extra grip length is perfect.
I currently have a Springfield XDM Elite compact, and I need to order the extended mag bc the stock ones are a touch short for my hand & I'll take the two extra rounds putting me at 15.
