Went to plant a peach š seed today and discovered the last seed I planted in the same pot. That one didnāt take š
Iām pretty sure I am supposed to get the pit from inside the shell but I donāt want to slice myself on the process of opening it.
Put seed in a ziplock bag, standing on its edge, and tap with a hammer. Pit will split along the seam. Be gentle so as not to split the seed.
Thatās the first thing I did and smashed it to bits š
You don't have to but can use pliers or a nutcracker to open the shell and get the kernal out. Just don't damage it.
What you are missing is cold. Wrap it in a moist paper towel inside a zip lock bag. It needs to be 30s F for 10 weeks or so until it gets a root sprout before planting
