Has anyone given Bitcoin as a gift to family/friends who really don’t care about it? I’ve always wanted to do this, put it in a cold card or other signing device and give it to them for Christmas but I’m not sure how they would react.

I make birthday cards with URL's that send sats to my kids, nieces, and nephews.
Yes. I promised my two nieces and nephew 100k sats a year for 10 years. I also created wallets for them and stamped the seed words into washers:
I also send them an annual email when I transfer the sats that talks about the previous year in Bitcoin. One of them said if their stash starts to become worth something they will cash out, but the others haven't said anything about it. They are all in their early 20s or late teens.
