Saw a property with 2 acres today and an old ranch house. There's also a barn, shed and chicken coop.

We kih of want to buy it...

We would be 10 minutes farther from everything and giving up a second story and probably a basement/newer house...

Any thoughts, warnings, encouragements?

Can you cook at home to save on the gas/new distance from town? We detest cities, and a good week for me, is one where I don’t have to leave the property. So I encourage the move.

Yes, we already cook at home most days.

While we like our space... and our projects .... We don't hate cities, have active kids so they're involved in a lot of activities with church and sports.
