Nope, my body started falling apart about 9 years ago. No need to prolong the suffering. Then there's the missing out of the afterlife, stuff immortality.
I'm sorry to hear, I completely agree with your point of view.
No. I feel the part of the human condition that gives us our drive is our finite lifespan. If I have an infinite number of days left to live, do I really need to get out of bed this morning?
Yeah that's a great point. What also terrifies me is the idea that I could be imprisoned and tortured forever.
Death is our ultimate escape, it's something nobody can take away from us, the merciful end to any suffering.
Was that part of the plot to demolition man or perhaps another film? You were put into stasis in prison and a short period of time passed but in your mind it was hundreds of years? Horrific.
I don't think I've seen it, but that sounds fucking horrific indeed
I just looked it up and it isn't the one and neither is minority report. This is going to eat away at me now LOL.
Lol if you figure out which one it is let me know, I'd be interested to see it.
Looks like I'm not the only one who has weird memories of something that possibly doesn't exist:
The Star Trek episode mentioned Hard Time seems to match it perfectly but I don't watch this show.
It would depend on whether or not I’d have to have a job for most of the immortality.
Fair question, presumably biological immortality doesn't mean you don't have to eat or drink, and to eat you probably still have to work.
Death is not something for which there is a cure.
Aging can actually be "cured", not today but it is hypothetically possible.
