I was thinking about search engines today. DuckDuck-Go is a very good alternative to Google and Edge etc...

How do they make money and protect your privacy?

DuckDuckGo monetizes itself primarily through advertising and affiliate relationships.

The advertising is purely contextual based on the searches you make. No profiling or data harvesting for "targeted advertising".

The only problem with DDG is that they do bend the knee to wokeism and have signaled they will censor results to cater to the woke mob.

I found brave search good enough for every day use without the censorship intention

Good point - I use both, Brave with brave search is hard to beat
