Carl Menger lobbied for a bi-metallic economy based on saving in Gold & spending in Silver.

In an attempt to discredit Menger, the Austrian ruler accused him of proliferating "Jewish Haute Finance".

Carl Menger was forced to prove in court his non-Jewish identity.

Austrian Economics as we know it today was born out of this.
