I know we're early, and this isn't specifically about #nostr, but I feel deeply concerned that 99% of people using zaps are onboarded via custodians, transferring IOUs instead of actual sats. The current implementations with Fedi and eCash also don't solve this issue due to the inherent trust involved. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution or a better recommendation, but it genuinely makes me sad.

it'll always be a struggle, no need to be sad about it. There was even a time where people were worried that not enough peers would be forwarding ports 🤭

We need a solution for noobs of we want them to give a power a freedom bitcoin unlocks ! I been running lighting for years and nuked it because fuck the management channels, rebalancing, force closing, open new ones and so on! Not too many will be able to do that
