Alot of good thoughts there- I especially like the idea of a "city" with connected but culturally distinct social areas.
It's something I actually like about twitter- you would not think that it's "boost and trend model would be good for this- however the fun of exploring and discovering interconnected subcultures there is really high.
I love making "lists" of different groups and then "visiting" to see what is going on there. Other models seem to lake the organic essence of that.
Nostr is still lacking this feeling - even getting around to seeing updates from my top 20 people on here is arduous- and subcultures I can easily visit are out of the question with out some basic list feaure.
The ease of building on nostr makes it feel like it could make customers niche community building even more robust than others however. If each community could start off making its own groups and even apps with custom preferences. For example , I love how 🤙🫂 ⚡️ nostr but I think making it easy to customize that cultural cohesion tech would be great tools for community builders.
