Truth is some people don’t want sovereignty. Glad we have the option and tools to be sovereign tho even if only a minority will care about using them

Not some but most. If bitcoin replaced fiat as a base layer and LN/other L2s worked as custodial scaling solutions, that would already be a massive improvement.

But that's light years away.
