I've found that I'm okay with just missing stuff. It feels a lot like "living in the moment." I generally just scroll through the newest notes while I'm on and then dip. As a result, the amount of time it takes up is more limited. The platforms would queue things in such a way that I'd stay on longer. To be fair, that was my own lack of discipline. But they also dial in on parts of our humanity that make it maximally difficult to walk away. The discipline bar is a lot lower for me with how I use Nostr.

Live in the present 💯

My approach isn't for everyone. I see value in algorithm-like functionality on Nostr. I'm just happy without it at the moment. But I've also built a pretty decent base here after several years. It took curating and real effort on my part. And I'm not finished. I can see how algorithm-like functionality could make it more efficient
