I see that most of the convos here are self-referenced to Nostr itself. I understand the hype because this is so exciting. However, it is time to move on frends.

I’m here to talk about the things I like. I like theology, I like metaphysics, and I like a great deal of history. Nostr seems the right place to discuss ideas, but let’s diversify.

The divine Plato reminds us that clarity of being is the true nature of learning (485a.)

I wonder too often what clarity of being we can acquire from technology. Don’t get me wrong: a substantial part of what is my trade today is just tech. But how much true learning is in tech. It is true that the pioneers were enlivened by the learning and the ideas, but how much clarity of being did they acquire? How much clarity of being could we attain with the machine as such?
