So it sounds like the feds got his software wallet and were able to determine everything he has. So they knew exactly how much to extort him for.

Dude drained the wallet on his pc just before agents took possession of the pc. Then he kept moving the coins.

Money at risk should be held in cash or privacy coins. You can gamble on a lot of shit, casinos, stock, etf's, etc's, BTC. But, there is currently only one good alternative to cash, thats Monero.
I'm not saying there is no utility to the Lightning network (fast transactions and small fees). But, you have a bad feeling that one day you could sit in court and defending why you Zap'ed this person or that opinion 10 years ago.

Move everything out of the public and into the private. As long as you are in U.S jurisdiction, they can play with you like a toy.
Correct your status and remove everything from your name.
Unregister anything you have with the U.S.
Get out of all contracts you have with the state and federal governments.
