Thank you for being so open. I know that many people have their own beliefs and understandings. Dogs are so domesticated that they can live on plants.

It's a big lie that we or dogs have to eat tons of proteins...since the body needs amino acids. So if we have all the essential amino acids, we are able to build all the tissues, hormones, enzymes, etc. The same goes for dogs.

My dog gets cooked millet and lentils with vegetables (mostly carrots, beets, celery, in summer also zucchini), some cold pressed oil and her supplement. Sometimes I add grated coconut too. She also loves fruits (orange, papaya, mango, apple...) and cucumbers ;)

Thanks for the detailed response. I imagine as dogs became domesticated they became more used to eating our scraps, changing from mostly carnivore to omnivore. Seems like wild dogs would get all amino acids and other essential stuff from meat, this is why I was initially skeptical
