WTF? Habitat is not a partisan organization. It’s fucking as American as it gets in the non-profit world. They don’t give away housing- they build affordable homes, find qualified people on the cusp and help them attain financing to get a mortgage. They have a huge success rate. H4H LA (who I’ve worked with personally) runs a lean and mean machine with tons of community volunteers and a core group of badass builders.
