When I first came to nostr I had only been in bitcoin for a few years and most of my exposure to bitcoiners on LinkedIn and Twitter was hyper focused on price and integrating bitcoin into the already existing financial system of permission and exclusion. While I refrain from telling anyone how they should use bitcoin, it's not how I want to use it, and it's not the people I want to be around.
Imagine my surprise when I found genuine, kind, and positive individuals on nostr. People who want equality, honesty, and integrity in our society, and especially in our money. @jeff booth was one of the first interactions I had which was especially meaningful given his book was a big inspiration to me. Since then there are far too many good people to mention.
I simply cannot go back to legacy media since I'm philosophically incompatible with the majority of individuals who make up the network.
