My elderly parents, who live in rural Ireland, tested positive for COVID for the first time on Monday. They tried to book a PCR test today and discovered there are none available, not even in a private hospital. Their self tests haven't been registered anywhere, so when we hear cases are on the rise we are not getting accurate information. Why would they shut down the testing centers.
