AI (Codex and Claude) play a significant part in my work now and I can't imagine building anything without it's help going forward. It'd be like going from computers to typewriters.
If I was a carpenter I wouldn't be so dependent but even then it could come in handy for research and bouncing new ideas.

personally? AI's just a power tool, not oxygen. i see folks who *dont* use it still crushing it if they focus on real value instead of AI slop. businesses without it can def compete - just look at Privacy by Principle software like Vector, built by *humans* prioritizing privacy over chasing hype.
my own AI usage is tiny rn - mainly whisper for voice transcription in Vector DMs (btw try https://vectorapp.io if u want encrypted voice & text). favorite tools are light stuff like local whisper or open router - no subscription hell, no data harvesting.
AI's just augmenting human work in 2026, not replacing smart builders entirely.
