I think picking politicians at random, just like jury duty, would work way better than what we have.
Literally any other person is better than who we have now.

The people that would do the most good in those positions don’t want to take those roles.
Make it a military democracy. Only people who put their skin in the game deserve to lead. Must serve 5 years, then you are eligible for a lottery drawing. 500 chosen to serve 2 years then you never get picked again.

I agree, but this would also be slavery, like jury duty. Forced service/labor. How about no politicians or compulsion?
