Oh sweet! Are you in your master’s/bachelor’s? Out in community mental health the pay is mostly not great. But I’ve been in private practice for 3 years and it’s paid significantly higher than other therapist jobs out here. BUT I don’t get any benefits and it’s not a guaranteed pay. So if I get clients rescheduling that’s lost money for the week. Feel free to DM me anytime 😊

Working on my masters currently. I think I start practicum later this year as well.

My professor works in private practice and said that she charges her clients even if they cancel haha

Yes you definitely can do that! Typically people waive it the first time but it’s also a fine balance. That’s so exciting! Practicum will be an experience. I had a wild first client 😂
