People are starting to complain, all over the place, that I work too fast, and I don't know how to deal with it because I actually cut my hours everywhere and spend more time relaxing and touching grass, but there's a minimum of time I need to work to not just totally grind to a halt.

Germans, and their efficient work models πŸ™„.

Don't you know you're supposed to waste countless hours on pointless tasks that are redundant, and draining like Japan, and America πŸ™ƒ?

The more hours you put into your work the gooder it is.

Idk how to respond to that, i get that a lot tol, I love working, especially on things I deem important, I guess people confuse work with the slave hours put into fiat (useless) stuff which doesn't usually give any satisfaction, although I used to love working on that too πŸ˜‚ but mostly from a PoV of honing my skills.

I nearly got fired, from a few positions, for this, because it was upsetting everyone, so I'd start killing time surfing and then I'd get depressed working at such a slow pace and find it IMPOSSIBLE to do any work at all, and just end up written sick due to bore out.

It's like I don't have gears; just an on/off switch.

Yeah I hate it when people decide how much work I should or shouldn't do πŸ˜› especially when it's the latter.

so a job at USAID pretending to work from home for $600k would be a poor fit?

Start your own business and work as much as you want for it?

Your coworkers are worried that you are making them look bad. That's serious office politics shit. Convince everyone you're autistic before the shenanigans start.

This is golden advice πŸ˜‚
