There's a few varieties of note:
Classic Comfrey: prolific and spreads - propagates from seed and root
Bocking #4: sterile seed, only propagates from root
Bocking #14: sterile seed, also only from root

I have the bottom two varieties of you need 🫡.
If you don't mind it spreading, which be mindful once comfrey is there it's almost impossible to kill, then go classic.
