Cold wallets are always more secure than hot wallets.

A phone that’s turned off most of the time is pretty much a cold wallet though. Granted you have to connect when you want to make a transfer etc

My phones are pretty much always on lol. But do whatever works for you!

I mean a dedicated phone that you only use to store your bitcoin.

E.g. if I get a new iPhone I could keep my existing one as a wallet
