I worked with a functional medicine MD to reverse it without the metformin my GP prescribed me. I mostly attribute a vegan diet reversing it, but he had me taking cinnamon, chromium, magnesium and bitter melon supplements. I only still take Mg and I have been carnivore for over a year.

Been carnivore this year and feel fantastic.

How do you find variety?

Preparation methods, fresh herbs and seasoning mostly. I also find the longer I have been on it, the cravings have become almost nonexistent and I was always a HUGE carb junkie. Pizza is the only thing that I will still crave strongly and I let myself indulge on those occasions.

Peanut butter does it for me. Especially when I enjoy non-cooking herbs. đŸ˜‰ but that’s not too often.

I did find making 8lb of hamburgers was nice. Made for quick snacks and such.

Your way sounds understandable. I find it difficult to understand guidelines regarding blood sugar and cholesterol when upper limits vary. Here in EU they throw metformin and statins at even basic healthy people, which is extremely questionable. Thanks for the inspiration.
