Watching how BlueSky seems to be taking off, and yes, it will likely run into the same issue as Twitter, I am seeing #nostr not as a direct competitor but rather as an independent publishing and payment protocol.

The ability to create and receive payments without permission is nostr’s superpower. Much more interesting than a censorship-resistant shitpost platform.
