I haven't been asked this in many years. If someone asked me this now I'd say it doesn't matter, you don't really care if I stick around. Businesses don't even have real 5 year plans anymore. Senior "leadership" doesn't last longer than 2-4 years anyway so they will never see the end of anything so they don't care. They care about the next 6-18months with respect to stock price or VC capital they can secure, that's literally it. NOTHING ELSE.
