It's a different protocol similar to Fediverse but it's built on Blockchain technology I think. At least, as you can see from my username, it uses random strings as "keys" to access your account and do other things like follow.

Thanks, friend. I might not post here a TON because my main platform is Fediverse and I'm very active there. But I'll try to post some stuff here as much as I can. I like social networks like this. It's pretty neat!👍

I tried Threads.. deleted.. all spam.. don't like Mastdon.. but Lemmy is tolerable. Right now my go to is #Nostr

I feel that. Fediverse is far from just mastodon, but I get it. There's a culture there, just like there's a culture here. We're all just trying to find our own little place in the world.

Me, too. Some fediverse apps. I’ll see how long I keep Threads. I want to boot Meta permanently. Already jettisoned Twitter.
