Starting to hear lots of frustration from folks that left Massachusetts for Florida and Texas.

In the last 3 years, many colleagues left MA for the sunny states due to better cost of living and weather. Now many are coming back saying that Mass is now cheaper and has better public services (health care, education and transportation) for similar costs. Lots of bad experiences with insurance companies.

Maybe the tide is turning. 👀

The North-easterners ruined the housing market in FL. Hopefully it becomes more affordable for the locals when they leave

Yeah, I am hearing a lot of that as well. Though, I am not sure if the population increase is what made things more expensive or just inflation/regulation of the past 3 years.

I have several friends that sell real estate and the amount of out of state cash buyers in 20-22 was wild. A friend closed on a house in March 2020 for $480k and sold it in March 24 for $910k. Buyers were from NY

Needless to say that I doubt that leaving the state will make prices drop. They might grow less, but they are still going to grow.
