Starting to hear lots of frustration from folks that left Massachusetts for Florida and Texas.

In the last 3 years, many colleagues left MA for the sunny states due to better cost of living and weather. Now many are coming back saying that Mass is now cheaper and has better public services (health care, education and transportation) for similar costs. Lots of bad experiences with insurance companies.

Maybe the tide is turning. 👀

I hope so, Texas is getting crowded.

usual story; grass is always greener until it isn't.

Rednecks or Massholes??

Neither, generally people that lived here for school and then went out for better opportunities (grass is always green in the other side).

I honestly don't know how anyone lives anywhere besides Texas.

I've lived in Texas my whole life and I still want to live in Massachusetts.

Oh, wow, Alex. I thought you had moved to NY or PA, done the protest and commune thing, and then moved (back) to TX.

West Coaster. Baja to Port Townsend. Its good here and love general consesus you should leave if not vested but opportunities are everywhere.

Both states suck.

No matter where you go there is more cons than pros in each state.

You can't escape to a better place because there isn't a better place.

We must keep fighting and using Bitcoin so we can bring down the banking system which is holding us hostages in each city and state.

If you're in Massachusetts just move to NH. It's the #1 freest state in the US, according to the Cato Institute.

The Free State Project has done wonders there, and will continue to do so.

The North-easterners ruined the housing market in FL. Hopefully it becomes more affordable for the locals when they leave

Yeah, I am hearing a lot of that as well. Though, I am not sure if the population increase is what made things more expensive or just inflation/regulation of the past 3 years.

I have several friends that sell real estate and the amount of out of state cash buyers in 20-22 was wild. A friend closed on a house in March 2020 for $480k and sold it in March 24 for $910k. Buyers were from NY

Needless to say that I doubt that leaving the state will make prices drop. They might grow less, but they are still going to grow.

That's good... People voting by their feet and reconsidering their vote when conditions change.

I'm not going to complain any time soon for people leaving FL. The housing market has been out of control since the influx into the state

You could argue its the same story with BTC prices, with losing weight... all sorts of things dont go in a straight line. Things take time to stabilize.
