Didn’t think about that because it’ll go away eventually imo. There is no substance behind it. Not in the current form. Maybe there is a use case to inscribe something in an immutable time chain that lasts forever, but no speculative nonsense.

Some of this may be time sensitive to bitcoin culture and ethos. If the bull market rips and we're all telling people to self-custody, we will look insane if on-chain withdraw looks prohibitively expensive. This happened before and it led to a very protracted conflict about blocksize. Incredibly stressful.
Contrary to untethered, near-religious beliefs in this community, not everything that happens to bitcoin is good for bitcoin.
