I'm reading that the Labour government (UK) might be raising capital gains tax in the budget. It's currently only 10% up to 50k and 20% after that. From what I'm reading, they might well raise the 10% to 20% and the 20% to 40%, in line with income tax. If they do that there will be no early retirement for me next year and I'll be fucking FUMUNG😡.

Savers are the enemy of socialists! The Tories also reduced the allowance from £10k to £3k. Bastards.

I remember when you got 20k allowance. Alas, I had fuck all invested at that point🙄😂.

It’s great how they reduce the allowance and also the value of the currency is reduced by inflation. It’s not going to be a good 5yrs in the UK for productive people!
