I agree with both of you. But those interactions do get my spidey senses tingling.

I’d also add that you don’t need Nostr to benefit from Bitcoin, and vice versa. They are not the same thing, and one is not dependent on the other. But they do vibe well together 🤙

Does it matter to you if someone is only benefiting from Bitcoin but not also encouraging the unfettered flow of communication/information? Meaning would they pass a vibe check with you?

Can you give a real world example? This is too hypothetical for my engineer brain 😂

😅 what if someone, let's say Bob the Bitcoiner, preaches the gospel of Bitcoin on Twitter. He even has a large following on there, makes his living from being a content creator in some way in the Bitcoin space.

He thinks Nostr is a waste of his time to explore because Twitter is paying off for him. It's reaching people he wants reach and it's growing his brand, making him money.

I see. Sounds like Bob is a professional “influencer” so probably not my cup of tea.

But there are plenty of Bitcoiners who do dismiss Nostr (famously, Parker Lewis) who I still respect and get along with just fine. Parker can’t be right about everything, he will come around in due time 😂

I like the cut of your jib nostr:npub13z3v8dpqkjszwur2npsq687hgjkxelgjugqmwsvfhe00fv4n4fzsfu3fzc - you would get along well with @Onesien

Found him and #followid, thanks!

Oh sorry not sure why it didn't tag him! nostr:npub1pmhevxtlt3478pvmdqt7dftnv6zc2mzpdc569yjm6ks4k2jhezcs53uksr - hopefully this one works
