One last thing I'll say about this post is that even with the threat of force, as with the case with ISIS, Muslims still chose to not use gold and silver.

You could literally hold a gun up to people and they still wouldn't use it!

Gold and silver are never coming back as money. The sooner we accept this, the sooner we can actually start exploring new solutions. nostr:note1svxg6ufj85m3kmzcfnwxu6tx08qwa22f83l006k6z799z7f266kstjfmx3

Muslim didn’t use ISIS gold backed dinar when they had power? What currency did they use while under ISIS occupation?

The almighty dollar! The ISIS leadership still mandated the use of gold and silver, but no one cared and bothered to use it. The ISIS soldiers were getting paid in dollars as well. Shopkeepers still wanted dollars 😂

Wow I didn’t know that… I would have thought they would have forced people to use it. How can they demand people to use the dinar when they weren’t even using it themselves 😂 hypocrites!

It just demonstrates that money is a social construct, not something that can necessarily be forced.

💯 percent correct

What do you think about using e money backed by bitcoin?

I think some governments are going to try that idea as a way to not let their citizens use actual bitcoin. But I think using that kind of money defeats the purpose of Bitcoin. The point of it being digital is that we can use the token itself without having a derivative of it.

Any time you have a money that's "backed", it's just a Pathway for it be debased, and more relevantly, have Riba be embedded in its operation. We saw this happen with gold.

That Saylor guy is talking about the e dollar backed by bitcoin I heard it from him.

Bitcoin 🤑
