I just realized I’ve hit a new stage in life. I don’t game anymore.

Sometime over the past year, I got frustrated with how much time I was spending gaming, so I wiped my PC and switched to Linux. Again. (I've been doing this for the last two decades, that or dual booting both.)

I knew I wouldn’t be able to play competitively on Linux, especially Overwatch 2, my main game, due to lower frame rates and stability issues.

In the past, after about six months, I’d start missing gaming, reinstall Windows, and jump back in, usually dominating in high Platinum or low Diamond 😜

But this time, I don’t miss it. #vibecoding has completely filled that gaming void.

Nothing wrong with gaming taking a backseat, especially when you find yourself creating!

An hour of gaming a week is enough for me — then the gnawing feeling of ‘I should be doing something else’ arrives.

An hour was never enough. I would get very competitive.
