I have 2 computers on kvm switch. My main computer is using Linux. I do everything on it. My second computer is a windows computer strictly used for gaming.
I tried dual booting but it was a pain. Gaming on Linux has issues.
Using a KVM switch is amazing. Also, since I only use my windows computer for only gaming. I have never had issues with windows. No virus or other issues.
I love using Linux as my main os, been doing that for many years.
I only game 1 hour a day. It's fun. You just need to learn discipline.
hehe. i used to do this back in 2004-2007 or so. i haven't used a KVM since :)
I wish someone told me about kvms earlier. Very useful. Dual booting sucks because then you gotta turn off your computer and restart your vms and tabs and stuff.
but kvms can't help you with your gaming addiction.
the reboot sucks for sure, but the KVM ended up not working for me because i didn't want to run an inferior computer lol , usually what would happen is my newest computer would be the gaming computer and the older one would be the linux one.
oh I see what you mean. ya, now that I remember, I ran into that problem too so I ended up buying 2 computers of almost equal specs but the gaming computer had a better video card. it was expensive at the time but I've had those computers for 10 years and since I don't play the newest games I'm going to keep them for another 10 years.
