Taxation is Quebec is crazy. There’s an island that want to introduce a tax to visitor. This "Visitor tax" is taxable at the federal level. At the provincial level, there’s another layer of tax that’s apply on the visitor tax and the federal. So there’s a tax on a tax on a tax 🤯

This is a war on tourism, an eco tax. From an island that relies heavily on fossil fuel for energy.

While I seldom wish for negative outcomes to affect my fellow Quebecers, I do hope that they come to realize the consequences of shooting themselves in the foot.
