Why is it that we love everything that makes Nostr special, yet we are so determined to normalise it to what's out there ?

I think we seek comfort. Handling things that we already know gives comfort. So we try to form everything into what we already know, so we can sit in our comfort zone.
Because most of us can only see through our existing paradigm. It takes a very special person to a. envision a new paradigm and b. be able to envision a new world through that new paradigm. That’s why they are called visionaries.
