Minimum wage is a communist price control that makes many entry level positions illegal, increases prices for consumers and forces dependency on the state.

Any two parties should be able to agree on any price for the exchange of labor.

Since the implementation of the "minimum wage" in the UK the number of people requiring state support has increased massively and constantly. Yet when you try and explain the issues with people they still think they're better off being slowly poisoned. Mad. Education has a lot to answer for.

I worked as a newspaper boy from the ages of 11 to 14. I was able to pay for my hockey equipment and registrations, as well as schooling at a private institution.

Had minimum wage regulations been in effect, there is no way I would have been able to get that job.

The commies' bleeding heart of a "fair wage" would have taken away my ability to play sports as a young kid and to further my education.

ANY WAGE SET BY THE FREE MARKET IS THE FAIR WAGE

Does free market exist?

Yes but I think without it my boss would pay me in donuts..

& I still agree the gov has no business setting prices of anything lol especially labor

I don't think you would continue at this job if that were the case, and others wouldn't either, and the business would die.

You can set your own price by having skills that are in demand

This is a good thought experiment, I really feel like lots of people (with little to no skills) would starve at first. But this would probably encourage people to learn more skills and not be a complete NPC their whole life. Also while we’re at it abolish any form of income tax please

Yes. Most minimum wage employees never understand that they must be paid less than the value they create and that they are only worth anything at all if they have actual skills at creating value in the market.

Also forces you to use foreign labour for producing finished goods

They’ll just agree that more communism is the answer
