My favorite LN wallet is Breez. It does everything except for LNURL generation or Zaps. But we really can’t let just having ‘fun’ get in front and in the way of real Bitcoin adoption. Self-custodial LNURL/Zap will come, we shouldn’t centralize Bitcoin and risk people’s corn to get there.

Breez is great.

Truth is that most people will find Bitcoin through a centralized service. I did, and within a few months I was sending everything to cold storage.

I didn’t recommend WoS because of zaps, but because it’s an instant onboarding to Bitcoin with a noob-friendly interface, and because they work hard to make Bitcoin accessible.

Nobody here is advocating storing any significant volume of sats on WoS or any other custodial platform 😉🫡

Isn’t Breez onboarding even quicker than WoS? There’s literally no sign-up, nothing. Turn out iCloud backup and bam.

Seed phrase backup is a process that warrants sitting down and discussing it. My coworker asked me on the fly, and I wanted to nurture that impulse to learn more.

I’m not trying to back up a self custody wallet to Apple, lol

Don’t worry - we’ll move her over to proper self custody soon
