This is the cost to order 300$ worth of leather from the US to Canada.
I might have to use usps from now on because I'm pretty sure UPS is stealing from me.

I have a post box in the US. My wife and I regularly go across and pick our orders up there.
I don't pay taxes on the way back, let's leave it at that.
Yeah this could actually be a solution. There's also a big struggle to import exotic leather and this would most likely solve it too.
I don't have a passport tho believe it or not.

I buy a lot of my pens from US companies and ship them there. I could buy a whole other pen for the taxes I paid on the first order I had from Goulet Pens so we switched to this and I've kept so much more of my own money that way.

Even on pens??? That is so weird. There's a lot of things I can order from the US without getting these fees. I ALWAYS get them when it comes to leather and hardware tho it's more like a commercial purchase. On a pen it's weird.
Yeah over about $100 they'll typically ding it for the taxes. My first order was around $300 some and I paid I think about $85 in duties. I could have bought a whole other pen for that.
